Stephanie Tan, President
Stephanie Tan is a senior at Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana. She has been playing Go for eleven years and is an AGA 3D. Stephanie has attended nine U.S. Go Congresses and recently won first place in the main section of the 2024 Chicago Open. She is also a three-time finalist in the AGA Girls Cup, winning twice. In addition to playing, Stephanie teaches an AGF-approved Go program for young children at her local Chinese school, writes for the Evanston Go Club, and served as Publicity Lead for the 2025 U.S. Go Congress. Outside of Go, she enjoys listening to music, playing Tetris, and solving logic puzzles like Sudoku.
Ethan Whitman, Vice President
Ethan Whitman is a sophomore at Liberal Arts and Science Academy in Austin, Texas. He has played Go for 10 years and is currently rated AGA 5D. He placed 2nd in the Redmond Cup Junior Division in 2023 and has had many top 3 finishes in various Go tournaments in Texas. He has also taught Go at his local Chinese school. Outside of Go, he is passionate about coding and trading stocks. He also enjoys competitive math and playing basketball.
Zixuan Gao, Vice President
Zixuan Gao is a senior at Tesla STEM High School in Redmond, Washington. She started learning Go in 2018 and is currently rated AGA 5D. In recent years, Zixuan placed second in the Open Section of the 2023 Washington State Championship and won the AGA Girls Cup three consecutive years from 2024 to 2026. In addition, she also represented the US team as Board 1 in both the 2023 and 2024 Quzhou International Friendly Children Amateur Weiqi Invitational Tournament. Besides playing Go, Zixuan also enjoys playing the violin, piano, drawing, and programming.
Donelly Qin, Tournament Director
Tsz Lun (Donelly) Qin is a rising senior at Stuyvesant High School, NY. She has been playing Go since kindergarten, and played in a couple AGHS tournaments like Young Lions Tournament (3rd place), School Team Tournament (1st place), and Girls Who Play Go Tournament (1st place). She has served as a TD last year and is excited to return to the organization to expand on current initiatives and provide AGHS players more fun experience. Outside of Go, she loves ballet, research, and trying out new food!
Angelina Zhao, Media Marketing Manager
Angelina Zhao is a sophomore studying at University High School (Irvine, CA). Currently ranked AGA 1 Kyu, she has pursued the game of Go with passion since the age of 5. Her accomplishments include winning the 2021 U16 Girls King Cup California Go Championship, securing first place in the junior division of the 2020 North American Kyu Championships, and placing third in Division A of the 2023 AGHS Young Lions Tournament. Angelina is committed to sharing her love for the game with other aspiring players; her experience in art and design is devoted to the support of blossoming Go communities. Beyond her immersive battles within the Go Board, Angelina also dedicates her time to creating handicrafts, competing in writing, exploring the world, and uncovering history!
Fangwu Yu, Media Marketing Manager
Fangwu Yu is a junior at Princeton High School in New Jersey, and he has been playing Go from a young age. He has participated in multiple AGA and AGHS tournaments and events including multiple U.S. Go Congresses, winning 2nd place in the US Open 2025 in his division. He is an active member of the Go community, co-founding his high school’s Go club and Go teaching program at his local Chinese school. Besides Go, Fangwu enjoys coding, swimming, and playing video games with friends.
Acadia Chow, Media Marketing Manager
Acadia Chow is a sophomore at Townsend Harris High School in Queens, New York, and was introduced to Go at the age of 5. After 6 years, she returned to Go and has played for four years. She has participated in numerous local tournaments, including monthly tournaments and Gotham Go tournaments held in the city. She won 3rd place in her division at the 2024 New York State Championship. Outside of Go, Acadia is enthusiastic about traveling, exploring new places, and volunteers at local events. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, crafting, and collecting.
Felix Huang, Tournament Director
Felix Huang is a senior at Pierre Elliot Trudeau High School in Markham, Ontario. He has been learning Go for around 10 years and is currently ranked AGA 5d. He has participated in multiple North American Go tournament, winning 4th place in the U16 North American Championships, and achieving a 6-0 record in the 41st USGC. He actively participates in the go community by teaching online and volunteering at the Congress. Outside of Go, he enjoys swimming, playing basketball and listening to music.
Alex Fan-Cui, Tournament Director
Alex Fan-Cui is a sophomore at Highland Park High School. He is passionate about spreading Go, and has played in many AGHS tournaments over the years. He has been learning Go for 8 years, and is currently an AGA 3D. Outside of Go, he loves playing with his cats and medics.
Richard Duan, Tournament Director
Richard Duan is a sophomore at the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia. He has been playing Go for six years and is currently rated 4D AGA. He has participated in multiple Go Congresses and many tournaments in his area. He placed 3rd in the 3 Dan division at the 2023 US Go Congress. Richard also leads his school’s Go club, and wishes to promote the game of Go across the country. Outside of Go, Richard enjoys biking, listening to music, reading, and learning new fun facts.
Juwon Choi, Treasurer
Juwon Choi is a freshman at Woodbridge High School. He has been playing Go for five years and is currently rated AGA 1k (1-kyu). Juwon took first place in the Kyu division at the Midnight Go Tournament during 2026 US Go Congress and regularly participates in various Go tournaments and the US Go Congress. Outside of Go, he enjoys water polo and swimming.
Steven Chen, Media Marketing Manager
Siyu Chen is a senior at Groton-Dunstable Regional High School in Groton, Massachusetts. He has been playing Go for ten years and is currently an AGA 2D rank. In 2022, he placed first in the Toronto Go Spectacular Open Tournament and has also won the 4th and 5th Boston Youth Go Open tournaments. He currently competes in the AGA City League, where he represents Team Boston. Outside of Go, he enjoys traveling, listening to music, swimming, playing basketball, and rock climbing with his friends.
Chase Lin, Tournament Director
Chase Lin is a senior at Stuyvesant High School, New York. He has played Go for 10 years and is currently rated AGA 5D. He has participated in numerous tournaments, most recently reaching the finals of the 2026 AGHS Championship Tournament. Competitions aside, he is responsible for running his school’s Go club as co-president, striving to share his love for Go. In his free time, Chase also enjoys playing the alto saxophone, tennis, and listening to music.
Nathan Yoo, Secretary
Nathan Yoo is a junior at Montgomery Blair High School in Maryland. Its been bit less than a year since he played Go. He is currently rated 7k AGA. He participated in the 2026 USGC and got 2nd place in his division. Outside of Go he likes to play chess and play the violin.
Tiffany Wang, Media Marketing Manager
Tiffany Wang is a senior at the Bronx High School of Science in New York City and has been playing Go for four years. She has participated in numerous online and local go tournaments, as well as at Go Congresses, where she most notably placed 1st in her division at the 2024 USGC and 3rd at the 2026 USGC. Outside of Go, you can find Tiffany listening to music, skiing, playing tennis, or binge-watching Netflix.
Dongha Lee, Tournament Director
Dongha Lee is in his eighth-grade year at Mount View Middle School in Marriottsville, Maryland. He began playing Go at age seven and is currently rated AGA 5D and also certified as an amateur 5-Dan by the Korea Baduk Association. His recent accomplishments include winning the High-Dan Section of the 2025 National Go Center Back-to-School Tournament with a 4-0 record, winning the dan section of the 50th Maryland Open with a 4-1 record and receiving the Baum Prize in 3 major categories at the 2026 U.S. Boston Go Congress.
Dongha enjoys sharing strategy games with others. He volunteers as a Janggi and Go instructor and has led free community workshops for children and adults in the Maryland area. Before taking up Go, he became Korea’s youngest professional Janggi (Korean Chess) player at age nine. Outside of Go, he enjoys playing piano and violin at the Johns Hopkins Peabody Preparatory and enjoys learning about economics, biology, writing, and other strategy games. Through AGHS, he hopes to introduce Go to more students, create welcoming opportunities for beginners, and help connect players through teaching and community events.
